I’ve been documenting my life’s experiences using my journal and logbook. However, I’ve been inspired a lot by reading through Opemipo’s Medium blog over the years and feel compelled to document and share my experiences starting with this blog post. It’s quite a long read, tried to document the past five years in this blog post.

For some reason, I have always moved fast in life; faster than the average Nigerian and everyone else I know. I completed primary school at 9, secondary school at 15, and uni at 19. Ironically, I’ve been moving slowly in terms of achieving my dreams in life.

Failures

So I’ve been building in the music/entertainment space with @kdhypebeast which I cofounded with my closest friend Hillary in 2018. We were in our final year at uni. I was 19 and hungry for success. The original plan was to make my first million at 19.

However, for some weird reason, that didn’t happen. We were so broke, that buying data and airtime was a problem. In all this, we were drowning in ideas of events and stuff to make happen.

Just as that Buju’s line on Outside “If you no get money, e dey kill idea” I still remember how much this line resonated with me. I felt it deep in my soul.
